With the AchenseeCard, participation in the hiking program is free from Monday to Friday.
Starting at the Sixenhof museum of local history, walk toward Alpen Caravan Park Achensee. Follow the signs for “Gaisalm”, which will take you over a narrow footbridge along Lake Achensee, the so-called Mariensteg. At the end of it, you will walk down steep steps to the Gaisalm pier. You can either take the same route back or simply take the boat.
You start at the valley station of the Karwendel cable car and follow the path to the right toward Tristenautal. After 500 m, turn left once and follow the ascending path to the Rodelhütte cabin.
The tour starts at the toll station in Pertisau, takes you up the toll road, past the Petzachalm and onward to the Gern Alm Inn. After a quick break at the inn, continue to the “Güttenbergalm – Feilkopf” junction. Keep right and after approx. 30 minutes you will reach the summit of the Feilkopf mountain.
From the valley station of the Karwendel cable car, follow the forest path toward Seespitz in Murach. Walk past the transmitter mast and cross the ski slope. Then follow the beautiful forest path along the avalanche shelter to Murach.
Behind the Achenseeschifffahrt parking lot, a forest path leads you up several hairpin bends to the viewing point in Hochried. The route then takes you over the south side of the mountain across the mountain pine fields over a ridge to the Seebergspitze.
